This Privacy Policy explains how Jcom Technologies ("Jcom", "we") collects and uses personal data through this marketing website - for example, when you request a demo. Jcom is the data controller for that information.
Scope.This policy covers data we collect as a controller via this website. Where a brokerage uses Jcom's platform to serve its own end users, that brokerage is the controller of its end-user data and Jcom acts only as a processor, acting on the brokerage's instructions under a separate data-processing agreement signed with that brokerage. If you are a trader, your account data belongs to your brokerage, and this policy does not govern it.
1. Personal Data We Collect
When you contact us or request a demo, we collect the information you provide, typically:
- Contact & business details - name, work email address, company name, and anything you include in your message.
- Consent record - the version of the Terms and Privacy Policy you accepted and the date and time, kept as proof of consent.
- Technical data - IP address and basic browser information, recorded in ordinary server logs when a page is requested. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers (see our Cookie Policy).
We keep this deliberately small. We do not build profiles, we do not track you across sites, and we hold no trading account, balance, or position data through this website: those belong to the brokerage you deal with, not to us.
We do not intentionally collect special-category data; please do not send it to us.
2. How and Why We Use It
- to respond to your demo request or enquiry and follow up about our platform;
- to provide, secure, and improve the website and the platform;
- to send relevant business-to-business communications where permitted, from which you can opt out at any time; and
- to keep records of consents and comply with our legal obligations.
3. Legal Bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)
- Legitimate interests - to respond to an enquiry you initiate and to run and promote our B2B software business, balanced against your rights.
- Consent - where you tick a consent box, or where consent is required for certain communications or cookies; you can withdraw it at any time.
- Contract - to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement.
- Legal obligation - to keep records we are required to keep.
5. International Transfers
We are based in Cyprus, and the providers who host this website and carry our email may process data outside your country or outside the EEA. Where that happens, we rely on an appropriate safeguard, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision covering the country concerned. If you would like to know where your enquiry is stored, ask us at support@jcomtechnologies.com and we will tell you.
6. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as it remains useful for the purposes above: to handle your enquiry, to maintain a business relationship, and to keep a record of any consent you gave. We do not set a fixed deletion date for business enquiries, so assume we retain them indefinitely unless you ask us to delete them. Where the law requires us to keep a record for a set period, we keep it for that period. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see Your Rights below), and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR and UK GDPR), you may have the right to: access your data; correct it; delete it; restrict or object to processing (including direct marketing); receive a portable copy; and withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@jcomtechnologies.com. In most cases the only data we hold about you is the enquiry you sent us and our reply, so a request is usually straightforward to answer. If you have a trading account with a brokerage, we are not the right people to ask: that brokerage holds your account data and you should exercise your rights directly with it.
9. Security
We take reasonable care to protect the personal data we hold, and we keep the amount we hold small on purpose, because data you never collect cannot be lost. We cannot, however, guarantee the security of any data transmitted over the internet or stored on any system, and we do not promise that our systems or our providers' systems will never be compromised. Please do not send us sensitive information you would not want disclosed.
10. Children
This website and our platform are intended for businesses, not for children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date shows the current version, and material changes will be notified where appropriate.
12. Contact & Controller
Data controller: Jcom Technologies · 23 Stasinou Street, 3rd Floor, Engomi, Nicosia, 2404, Cyprus. Privacy contact: support@jcomtechnologies.com. Given the small amount of personal data we process, we have not appointed a Data Protection Officer; privacy questions are handled at the address above.
